The Armstrong-Frederick and Chaboche models were generalized in the framework of non-linear kinematic hardening theory. A procedure for solving the hardening evolution law was implemented within the PMD FEM package. Both the generalized constitutive model and the way of implementation as well as the differences between the three types of hardening rules are reported in detail.
