The paper deals with the FEM modeling of the impact response of thin-walled cylindrical tank, which is partially or fully filled with water, to the transversal bump of the part of piping system. Special attention is paid to the interaction of the liquid and the wall of the tank. The numerical solution is fulfilled by the COSMOS/M computational system.
