The paper describes the method of acoustical emissions measurement and evaluation on one of the typical machinery equipment - on gearboxes. Acoustical measurements were performed on the gearbox from a high lift truck using special equipment for the speeded-up service life test. The measurements were just an additional ones and they were performed for comparison reasons. The evaluated results enable for example to compare acoustical emissions of the given gearbox type in the given operating mode for different amount of operation hours.
