Research of free non-isothermal air-jet shapes

This article deals with the interferometric research offree non-isothermal jets from the ventilating outlets and the visualization of air-jets by means of a smoke. The inteiferometric research is carried out using Mach-Zehnder interferometer. From the interferogram it is possible to specifY the length of the marginal zone, the expansion angle of the main zone and in strongly non-isothermal jets the jet bend too. The interferometric research has proved that from the interferograms of free lightly nonisothermal jets the constants of the ventilating outlets can be defined. The visualization of air-jets by means of the smoke gives the qualitative information of the jet shapes.
