CFD Modeling of the radially symmetric reinforced exhaus system (REEXS)

This paper focuses on CFD modelling associated with reinforced exhaust system (REEXS) that is known as Aaberg suction hood. Two turbulence models have been used to see their impact on the flow instability and oscillations of the injected air. The paper also describes influence of some geometrical characteristic of the hood on the resulting flow pattern and operational stability as well as operating hood parameters which are specified with a momentum ratio (inflow to outflow).
