The results of the experimental acoustic measurements and the results of the mathematical modeling in the hall of the Austerlitz monument are presented. For the mathematical modeling of the spreading of sound in the acoustic volume is used the ray method (system RAYNOISE) and the final element method (system ANSYS). The comparison of the modeling with the experiment demonstrates the presence of waves in the solid structure of the barrel ceiling i.e. the presence of the waves of whispering gallery.
