This paper deals with calibration of modified AbdelKarim-Ohno cyclic plasticity model [Int. J. Plasticity I6 (2000) 225]. The modification of the model was investigated for better multiaxial ratcheting simulations. Stable hysteresis loop or cyclic strain curve of a material can be used for main parameters determination. Additional parameters influence only ratcheting strain rate. These parameters could be found from at least one proportional and one nonproportional cyclic plasticity tests. Identification of the model parameters is presented using material data of BS] 1 rail steel from Bower [ J.Mech.Phys.Solids 37 (1989)].
