The motion of a bound mechanical system is described by position, speed and acceleration of all its members and joints. The paper deals with the kinematic analysis of a four-joint mechanism using MSC Adams. The model of the mechanism is used to show the dynamic investigation of a bound mechanical system. Lagrange equations of mixed type were used in this case as well as a suitable tool for compiling equations of motion for the analytical investigation.
