Identification of material parameters of finite element nanoindentation model is discussed in this paper. Nanoindentation is relatively new experimental method, which allows testing physical properties of materials in the level of their microstructure. This testing is very financial demanding, hence it is useful to use numerical models. The problem is to determine material parameters for this model. Therefore, a forward mode of the inverse analysis is applied. This leads to a multimodal optimization problem which is solved by a radial basis function network (RBFN). ´
